2009: Business breakfast with Jerry Vilakazi

The South African Business Forum hosted a breakfast presentation on Thursday, 26 March. The speaker was Jerry Vilakazi, Chief Executive Officer of Business Unity South Africa, the body representing South African business on macro-economic and high level issues. The event was attended by senior businessmen representing industry, trade organisations and government, including South Africa’s Consul General to Hong Kong, Ms Tambo.

Mr Vilakazi presented a compelling story of South Africa’s investment opportunities, detailing growing multilateral trade and investment between China and South Africa. The mining, energy and construction sectors were set out as strong sectors for foreign investment, with South Africa’s vibrant financial sector highlighted for its successful ventures with foreign investors.
